An 8-Week Leadership Mastermind Based on Strong Ground by Brené Brown

Wednesdays | 12:00–1:00 PM | March 18 – May 6 I  Ethos @ The Citadel

Leadership today feels like standing on shifting ground. Change is constant. Pressure is real. Expectations are high. And many leaders—entrepreneurs, managers, pastors, nonprofit directors, and volunteers—are asking the same question:

How do I lead with courage, clarity, and integrity when certainty is in short supply?

Strong Ground Leadership is an 8-week Ethos Mastermind designed to help leaders find solid footing in uncertain times. Rooted in Strong Ground: The Lessons of Daring Leadership, the Tenacity of Paradox, and the Wisdom of the Human Spirit, this mastermind draws from Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead research and global leadership community to equip leaders with practical tools, shared language, and courageous practices for real-world leadership.

This is not a lecture series—it’s a facilitated, peer-driven mastermind where leaders learn together, challenge one another, and apply insights directly to their work, teams, and organizations.

Who This Mastermind Is For:

This group is designed for:

  • Entrepreneurs and business owners

  • Managers and team leaders

  • Community and church leaders

  • Nonprofit professionals and volunteer leaders

  • Anyone carrying responsibility for people, culture, and mission

If you’re leading people through complexity—and want to do it with courage and integrity—this mastermind is for you.

What We’ll Explore Together:

Over eight weeks, participants will engage themes such as:

  • Courageous Leadership – Leading beyond bluster or burnout, with empathy, clarity, and strength

  • The Tenacity of Paradox – Learning to hold tension, complexity, and “both/and” realities without shutting down

  • Connection & Accountability – Building trust, discipline, and shared responsibility in teams and organizations

  • Practical Leadership Skills – Navigating hard conversations, strategic risk-taking, and values-based decision-making

  • Unlearning & Relearning – Letting go of outdated leadership habits and developing new capacities for a changing world

Drawing from stories, research, reflection, poetry, and insights from other leadership thinkers, this mastermind creates space to slow down, think deeply, and lead more intentionally.

What to Expect

  • Weekly facilitated discussions grounded in the book

  • Honest, confidential peer dialogue with other leaders

  • Practical tools and reflection prompts you can apply immediately

  • A supportive leadership community that challenges and encourages growth

  • Clear takeaways each week to strengthen your leadership “strong ground”

Why Ethos Mastermind

Ethos masterminds are built on a simple belief: leaders grow best in community. You don’t have to carry leadership alone. This experience creates space to reflect, recalibrate, and lead forward—together.
